Sold 3 pieces at the opening on Sunday!

The UUCS Arts Council is pleased to present this exhibit of paintings, mixed media works and fiber arts by artists Marvin Fields and Penny Soldatos. The opening reception will be held in the Church’s Lexow Wing Gallery from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Sunday, December 16th.
Fields and Soldatos live part of the year in the Pittsburgh area, and both have exhibited widely there. Marvin Fields has been painting in oils and acrylics for more than 40 years, and is also active in mixed media, printmaking and photography. This show concentrates on his work in photography, oils and mixed media. Penny Soldatos has also been involved in the visual arts for decades, with her recent interests gravitating toward the fiber arts. She says, “When I start on a new piece with an idea in mind, I never know what to expect. The fabric and colors lead me to the conclusion. Most important to me is the element of surprise.”
In addition to the work by Penny Soldatos and Marvin Fields, three UUCS members – Sally Coler, Dave Coppock, and Gail Coppock – will show examples of their 3D art on the pedestals located near the gallery windows. Don’t miss it!
The exhibit will be open during Gallery hours and after services on Sunday through January 17th, 2019.
