I was born and raised in Turtle Creek, PA. I attended CMU as an art major for one year in 1969 before leaving to start a family. I have 2 adult children. During the 1980s I exhibited extensively in group shows and was a member of PSA at that time. I obtained a certificate from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 1982 and worked as a commercial artist until 1991, when I remarried and lived in Germany for the next 9 years. I exhibited work in Mannheim and London during that time. I returned to Pittsburgh in 2000 to care for my elderly mother. I was working full-time as an administrative assistant and did virtually no art until 2010, when I began a collage-a-day project to honor my 60th year. I created a blog, Collagitation, to post my work online (currently not maintained). I was accepted into the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh in 2011. In 2013, I exhibited paintings and collages at the Backstage Bar at Theater Square, which was my first solo show. Currently I am retired from full-time employment, and I have exhibited at the Irma Freeman Center for Imagination in Garfield and Vestige Concept Gallery in Lawrenceville.
